The rapist tracks them down using this information, brutally rapes them and then takes their shoes as a trophy.

Another woman is attacked and the not-so-friendly detective superintendent Roy Grace puts together a team to investigate it. Haunted by the unexplained disappearance of his own wife, the detective heads a realistic police investigation.

The story alternates between present and past events and the thriller “Dead like you” has all that we could expect from a crime novel: suspense, DNA tests, psychological insights, witty remarks, bloody scenes etc.
